Job Description - Contracts Manager
The Client is an Energy Management Company rapidly expanding through planned growth and acquisition, managing Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) contracts across the UK.
Client is currently seeking four Graduate Engineers for the position of Contracts Manager. This is a rare opportunity to learn on the job while being mentored by our Senior Operations Manager. The position will mainly involve a number of large contracts in London including: -Energy supply to large private housing developments from boilers and CHP Building Services Maintenance and Repair Contracts.
The successful candidates will be expected to spend time at all the Company sites and therefore must be flexible regarding travel and overnight stays.
These candidates will have previous experience in this field and the relevant industry qualifications. A good understanding of building services maintenance and heating systems*boiler plant on a commercial*industrial level is required to understand fully the range of plant falling within client`s operational responsibility which includes:-
Basic Plant - hundreds of KW to multi MW hot water and steam
CHP - 100KW to 1.5MW
Hot water and steam distribution systems
Low and High voltage electrical distribution systems
Heating and Air Conditioning Systems
Some supervisory experience would be an advantage.
Key Deliverables
To assist the Senior Operations Manager
To manage the operational staff, ensuring compliance with the contractual obligations while controlling costs to ensure optimum financial performance
To project the Company image and manage effective and communicative relationships with clients
To have due concern for health and safety at all times, and, in conjunction with HSQTM Manager, ensure that all operatives are trained and aware of health and safety policies
To maximise works additional to contract and ensure that all such work is invoiced promptly
The Person Specification
An Engineering Graduate having at least two years post-qualification experience in a relevant commercial environment who can demonstrate full technical knowledge for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating engineering contract work.
This candidate will have previous experience in this field and the relevant industry qualifications including, but not restricted to:- An Engineering Degree, A working knowledge of building services maintenance, Ventilation ,Air conditioning systems
BMS, Communal heating systems, Boiler plant on a commercial*industrial level
Combined heat and power plant, Supervisory and man-management skills
Key Benefits
Salary: Ј25-28,000
Location: Based in London but with considerable travel across the UK
